New Capacity Building Programmes

Considering capacity building is an integral part of the developmental efforts in OIC Member Countries, the Centre has recently added three new capacity building programmes under its OIC Vocational Education and Training Programme, namely OIC Social Security Institutions Capacity Building Programme (SSI-CaB), OIC Sustainable Urbanization Capacity Building Programme (SU-CaB), and OIC National Organizations for Civil Registration Capacity Building Programme (NOCR-CaB).

The Capacity Building Programmes of SESRIC aims for the enhancement of human resources and in this context, organizes training programmes on subjects of immediate interest to the member countries in collaboration with relevant international and regional organizations in order to provide high-level training services for experts and professionals.

The Centre has the lead responsibility for the proper implementation and management of the OIC Vocational Education and Training Programme (OIC-VET), originally designed and developed by SESRIC, in order to improve the quality of vocational education and training in public and private sectors with the aim of supporting and enhancing the opportunities for individuals to develop their knowledge and skills and thus to contribute to the development and competitiveness of the economies and to facilitate the sharing of knowledge between OIC Member Countries.
