Islamic Commission for Economic, Cultural and Social Affairs (ICECS)

Islamic Commission for Economic, Cultural and Social Affairs (ICECS) convenes once a year in Jeddah in preparation for the regular Sessions of the Council of Foreign Ministers.

The Commission was established in May 1976 aiming at ensuring the handling of the economic, social and cultural cooperation issues for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation at experts level.

Organization of the Islamic Conference The 30th Session of the Islamic Commission for Economic, Cultural and Social Affairs of the OIC was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on 3-5 March 2007 with the participation of delegates from thirty-seven member states and representatives of the OIC General Secretariat and its subsidiary, specialised and affiliated organs.
