National Organisations for Civil Registration Capacity Building Programme (NOCR-CaB)

OIC recognizes the importance of planning and designing an efficient civil registration system which forms the backbone for producing accurate population statistics and secure identity documents. In addition, it forms the basis for the integration of many e-government applications such as labour and social security, health, education, trade and finance, and enables the routine production of vital statistics that would be a key input for policy-making and planning in human development in the OIC Member States.

In line with the decision taken during the First Meeting of the Heads and Seniors of National Organisations for Civil Registration (NOCR) of OIC Member States held in 2013, SESRIC also launched a special Capacity Building Programme for NOCR during the same year for the benefit of OIC Member States, and accordingly designed a questionnaire in order to collect information on the needs and capacities of the relevant authorities.
Questionnaire and Terms of Reference (ToR) Files

SESRIC urges all national organisations for civil registration in the OIC Member States to participate in the Capacity Building Programme for National Organisations for Civil Registration. The valuable participation of national institutions will help SESRIC to effectively plan and implement capacity building training activities which will play an important role in the improvement of human capital in the OIC Member States.
