H.E. Ambassador Musa Kulaklıkaya, Director General of SESRIC attended the press conference on „OIC Tourism Capital for 2016“ which was held on 4 March 2016 in the Turkish city of Konya. The press conference aimed to introduce the action plan for the new OIC Tourism Capital of 2016.

Amb. Kulaklıkaya, Konya Governor Muammer Erol, the Metropolitan Mayor Tahir Akyürek and numerous officials attended the press conference.

In his speech, Amb. Kulaklıkaya mentioned that the process of Islamic Tourism Capitals started with Jerusalem's announcement last year and underlined that Konya has many similar aspects like Madina and the Iranian city of Tabriz which were selected as Islamic Tourism for 2017 and 2018.

Amb. Kulaklıkaya said that the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation tries on this occasion to move the most of its activities to Konya.
