SESRIC has organised a Training Course on “Risk Management in Islamic Financial Institutions” at the Academy of Regional Financial Center of Almaty of National Bank of Kazakhstan (NBK) on 7-8 September 2016. Senior specialists and heads of divisions in accounting and banking supervision departments of NBK and also the representatives of the National Bank of Tajikistan and the National Bank of the of Kyrgyz Republic attended the course.

The course was provided by Mr. Dadang Muljawan Satria, Deputy Director of Macroprudential Policy Department at Central Bank of the Republic of Indonesia.

The training courses included case studies and covered the following topics:

• Macroprudential Policy
• Legal mandate and institutional arrangement
• Macroprudential policy framework
• Macroprudential instruments
• Coordination in macro-micro prudential policy
• Islamic Banking
• Islamic banking in the national financial landscape
• Conversion policy
