Infection Control and Quality Management Course Programme

Within the framework of the “Capacity Development of The School of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences at The University of Gambia” Project, SESRIC organized in collaboration with IDB and TIKA a training course on Infection Control and Quality Management in the School of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences at The University of Gambia for the benefit of medical students, physicians and residents from different clinics on 11-15 December 2017.

The training course has as main objectives to give brief information about epidemics and outbreaks, and to provide comprehensive understanding of the different disciplines that must work together to control infections in hospitals and within the community. The training course mainly covered emerging infectious diseases, the basics of communicable diseases and hospital infection control measures as well as resistant microorganisms, sterilization and disinfection measures.
