Study Visit on ‘Living Conditions, Poverty and Cross-Cutting Social Issues’ to Niger

SESRIC organised a Study Visit on ‘Living Conditions, Poverty and Cross-Cutting Social Issues’ on 2-3 April 2019 in Niamey, Niger for the benefit of two delegates from the National Institute of Statistics, Economic and Demographic Studies (INSEED) of Chad.

Hosted by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) of Niger, the Study Visit was organised within the framework of the OIC Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme.

The Visit aimed to strengthen the cooperation between the two institutions in the field of poverty statistics, and exchange knowledge on methodologies for processing data of the living conditions survey, innovative technologies with respect to the enhancement of social statistics, techniques used to produce reports of surveys on employment and living conditions among others.
