The 35^th Ministerial Session of the COMCEC, which was held on 27-28 November 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey, welcomed the OIC-TVET Strategic Roadmap 2020-2025, and requested SESRIC to monitor the implementation of the Roadmap within the framework of the OIC-VET Programme.

Prepared in close collaboration with the National Focal Points of the OIC-VET Programme and ISESCO, the said Roadmap aims to improve the quality of TVET programs in the Member States based on best TVET system practices that have been proven globally, proposing a series of alternative measures to improve TVET practices in the Member States with a view to developing innovative, effective and efficient actions for teaching and learning, both in formal and informal TVET sectors.

The Roadmap has been the outcome of the collective effort as a result of four thematic working group meetings and two consecutive workshops organized by SESRIC during the period 2017-2018. The Sixth Meeting of the Monitoring and Advisory Committee of the OIC-VET Programme, which will be held on 19-20 December 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey will discuss the implementation plan of the mentioned Roadmap, and draw a sound and practical mechanism for the realisation, monitoring and evaluation of its long-term strategies.
