Upon the request of H.E. Mohanna A. Al Mohanna, Director General of the Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, SESRIC conducted an expert mission for the period of 1 – 5 October 2011 in Riyadh. Eng. Huseyin Hakan Eryetli, Director of IT and Publication, has been sent to this mission by the Centre.

The aim of the mission was to assess technical needs of the recently improved official CDSI web site and to provide consultancy services in regard with the National Information Project, conducted by the CDSI and supervised by e-Government Program (YESSER) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this regard, several meetings were held with the CDSI personnel under the chairmanship of H.E. Mohanna. Since the last years expert mission, the CDSI improved the quality of its official web site in line with suggestions of the sent expert.

H.E. Mohanna, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Savas Alpay, Director General of SESRIC, for continuously providing and sharing experience and expertise in the fields of statistics and IT. It was agreed that these missions should be continued and SESRIC stressed its willingness to share its expertise on related fields.
