First International Exhibition on Muslim Business on 'Ethic, Quality and Security at the Service of Muslim Business'

The Statistical Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) has partnered in the organisation of the First International Exhibition on Muslim Business (IEMB) on “Ethic, Quality and Security at the Service of Muslim Business” was held on 14-16 November in Dakar, Senegal.

International Exhibition on Muslim Business (IEMB) is a new platform in West Africa established to foster cooperation between business operators and trade sector stakeholders in the Muslim World. Moreover, IEMB seeks to innovate and develop business partnerships between entre¬preneurs and professionals who are inspired by the ethical principles of Islam.

Prof. Savaş Alpay, Director General of SESRIC, has delivered an inaugural speech during the official opening of the exhibition on “Critical Perspectives on the Socio-Economic Development and Transformation in the Islamic World”. In his address, Prof. Alpay gave a comprehensive SWOT analysis on the OIC Member Countries. Based on the SWOT Outlook Report findings, he informed the participants about the significant potential of OIC Member Countries in terms of enhanced competitiveness both at the regional and international level.
