The 2008-2009 issue of Basic Facts and Figures on OIC Member Countries has been prepared including both tabular and graphical illustrations on selected basic socio-economic indicators up to the year 2008. The recent booklet presents two-page statistical profile for each country which includes demographic, social and economic overview using the most recent year for which the relevant data are available. These profiles include selected indicators of demography, national accounts, price, labour force, trade, education, health, environment, communication and transportation. Due to increasing importance of environmental issues, indicators related to this category had been included to this issue.
