|DoI signed for Mauritania Occupational Safety and Health Project|

A Declaration of Intent (DoI) was signed among SESRIC, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), National Occupational Health Office (ONMT) of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and Directorate General of Occupational Health and Safety (DGOHS) of Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Republic of Turkey in order to tackle the challenges of work-related accidents and diseases through bringing together joint efforts and complementary advantages of the partnering institutions for improving occupational safety and health conditions in Mauritania.
The DoI was signed by H.E. Amb. Musa Kulaklıkaya, Director General of SESRIC, and Mr. Mehmet Süreyya Er, Vice President of TIKA, Dr. Moustapha El Ghazwani, Director General of ONMT and Op. Dr. Orhan Koç, Director General of DGOHS, on 8 December 2017 at TIKA Headquarters in Ankara, Turkey.
The partnership will focus on enhancing the capacity of Mauritania in the field of Occupational Safety and Health and aims to raise the quality level of outputs/services delivered by ONMT. In the aftermath of this partnership, the accumulated experience and knowledge of DGOHS will be transferred to its counterpart, ONMT, through technical cooperation and assistance to be provided by SESRIC and TIKA.
