Training Course on “Tobacco Control” in Malaysia
 
Date : 01-02 April 2015 Venue : Kuala Lampur Malaysia

In line with the Thematic Areas 2 of the OIC Strategic Health Programme of Action (SHPA), SESRIC, in cooperation with the Tobacco and Alcohol Market Regulatory Authority of Turkey (TAPDK) organised a training course on “Tobacco Control” at the premises of Ministry of Health of Malaysia, on 01-02 April 2015, within the framework of the Tobacco Free OIC Initiative. The course was conducted by Mrs. Ayşe Gökalp Kırca Çelik and Mr. Cemil Mullaoğlu, Experts at the TAPDK.

The training course on “Tobacco Control” focussed on the following topics:

  • WHO FCTC
  • Packaging and labelling & pictorial warnings
  • Selling to minors
  • Protecting second-hand smokers & tobacco use in public places
