The Research Project for Reintegration, Development and State Building

The project aims to conduct research studies with a view to analyzing current challenges faced by Libya as a fragile state and providing solutions to the main challenges in the following areas:

  1. Security Sector Reform (SSR)
  2. Countering Violent Extremism (CVE)
  3. Public Administration Reform (PAR)

Libya is currently undergoing a very sensitive social, political and economic restoration period. Sound policymaking benefits from high-quality research in order to develop and implement interventions that lead to a prosperous Libyan society.

As the country struggles with severe challenges, two researches in the areas of Security Sector Reform (SSR) and Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) were conducted under the BINA Program. In addition, within the framework of the project, another research study namely, Public Administration Reform (PAR) is planned to be finalized in 2020.
