Introduction

The Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) has been tasked with preparing a progress report on prioritized Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) annually in line with the Resolutions of the 34th Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) that was held on 26-29 November 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Report presents an overview of the progress towards the SDGs using the most recent data extracted from the Global SDG Indicators Database of the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD). The Report analyses whether the selected indicators have moved towards or away from the related targets of the SDGs.
