Ambassador Kulaklıkaya Appointed as SESRIC’s New Director General

Ambassador Musa Kulaklıkaya has been appointed as the new Director General of SESRIC as of 27 March 2015.

Amb. Kulaklıkaya graduated from the Department of Business Administration of Ankara University and obtained his master’s degree from the Finance Department of Karadeniz Technical University.

He started his professional career as an expert at the Turkish State Railways (TCDD).

Amb. Kulaklıkaya carried out the duties of district and vice governorship in several cities of Turkey.

Served as the Vice President of the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TİKA) between 2004 - 2007, Amb. Kulaklıkaya was appointed as the President of TİKA in December 2007 who then transformed the TİKA into an agency that reaches out to diverse geographic areas, besides the Turkish speaking nations, to establish durable relationships between Turkey and other countries. A veteran supporter of the South-South cooperation approach and with profound knowledge in official development assistance, international cooperation and coordination issues, Amb. Kulaklıkaya handed over to his successor an agency operating in three continents -- Europe, Asia and Africa -- in more than 100 countries.

Amb. Musa Kulaklıkaya also served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania between 2011 and 2014.
