Statistical Yearbook 2019

SESRIC released the 2019 edition of its Statistical Yearbook on OIC Member Countries on 31 December 2019. 

The Statistical Yearbook on OIC Member Countries 2019 delivers a wide range of internationally accessible and comparable statistics on the OIC member countries covering 429 indicators under 22 categories available for the period between 2000 and the last year available which are currently being hosted at the OIC Statistics (OICStat) Database of SESRIC. The Statistical Yearbook on OIC Member Countries 2019 covers the following categories: Agriculture, Demography, Education, Energy, Environment, Gender and Family, Health, Industry and Manufacturing, Infrastructure, International Finance, Islamic Banking and Finance, Labour and Social Protection, Money and Prices, National Accounts, Private Sector, Public Finance, Trade, Science, Technology and Innovation, Tobacco Control, Tourism, Water, and Youth.

Released first in 1980, the content of the subsequent editions of the Statistical Yearbook has been continuously revised and enriched. The 2019 edition of Statistical Yearbook includes around 200 additional indicators and two newly introduced categories; namely, Private Sector and Youth when compared to the 2018 edition of Statistical Yearbook.

The Statistical Yearbook on OIC Member Countries aims at serving as a reference publication for evidence-based decision making concerning possible areas of cooperation and integration at the OIC level and thus contributes to increasing statistical awareness among the decision makers in OIC countries. For this end, the Statistical Yearbook gives the readers the opportunity to see not only the individual performance of OIC member countries but also that of the OIC as a group vis-à-vis the world across selected indicators.
