The Third Meeting of the OIC/COMCEC Private Sector Tourism Forum was held on 29-30 January 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey with a theme “International Branding of Tourism Destinations in the OIC Member Countries. The Meeting was attended by the representatives of 16 OIC Member States. The Centre was represented thereat by Dr. Cem Tintin, Researcher. Representatives from the COMCEC Coordination Office, ICDT, ICD (IDB Group), Tourism Development International and TURSAB also attended the Meeting.

The first day of the two-day meeting was devoted to the presentations and discussions. The second day hosted B2B meetings and a social event. During the first day, SESRIC representative, Dr. Cem Tintin made a presentation on the state of international tourism in the OIC member countries to set stage for further discussions on the branding. The next sessions included OIC country-case experiences from Turkey, Senegal and Malaysia. During the meeting, delegates found opportunity to discuss and share their views on the presentations. The final session wrapped up discussions and a final meeting report was finalized with the active participation of the delegates.
