Environment is one of the priority areas in the agenda of OIC. The Islamic Conference of Environment Ministers, in its fourth meeting in Tunisia in 2010, made a declaration on “Enhancing the Efforts of the Islamic World towards Environment Protection and Sustainable Development” and agreed on promoting cooperation between the Islamic countries on issues pertaining to environment and sustainable development, within the framework of Islamic solidarity and joint Islamic action.

In this connection, SESRIC developed the Environment Capacity Building Programme (Environment-CaB) in 2014, in order to promote sustainable production and consumption patterns and to protect and preserve the environment in the OIC Member States. To achieve the programme objectives, the Centre organises different activities such as short-term training courses, workshops and study visits according to the needs and capacities of the environmental authorities of the OIC Member States.

Questionnaire and Terms of Reference (ToR) Files

SESRIC urges all national institutions responsible for environment in the OIC Member States to participate in the Environment Capacity Building Programme (Environment-CaB). The valuable participation of national institutions will help SESRIC to effectively plan and implement capacity building training activities, which will play an important role in the improvement of human capital in the OIC Member States.

The National Environment Institutions in the OIC Member States are highly welcomed to download the related questionnaire available, in the three official languages of the OIC, from the links below:
