SESRIC participated in the Symposium on Social Security: Human Resource Policies

Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) was represented in the symposium on "Human Resource Policies: Development, Retention, and Training" in İzmir, Turkey during 6-7 October 2015 by Mr. Mansur Boydaş, Programme Coordinator. The workshop was jointly organised by the Social Security Institution of the Republic of Turkey and International Social Security Association (ISSA).The main objective of the symposium was to bring social security-related institutions and organizations in OIC Member Countries together, as well as to discuss the developments in light of the current socio-economic changes and trends, and to draw attention to technical and experienced administrative problems, sharing best practices among participants.

The symposium took place with the participation of high and medium level managers, and experts from Social Security Institutions of 8 OIC Member Countries, namely, Azerbaijan, Chad, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Niger, Sudan, Tunisia and Turkey. On the evening of the first day of the organization, with the Whirling Dervishes ceremony, a gala dinner was held for the participants within the country and from abroad.
