The 15^th Session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) General Assembly was held in Islamabad on 31 May-01 June 2016, under the Chairmanship of H.E. Mr. Mamnoon Hussain, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Chairman of COMSTECH.

The General Assembly Meeting started on 31 May 2016, with the opening addresses by the Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E. the President of IDB, H.E. the Secretary General of OIC and H.E. President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan/Chairman, COMSTECH.

Five plenary sessions took place with the participation of heads of delegations and representatives of the OIC Member Countries, national and international organisations, where senior officials will make presentations and submit their reports on a set of common issues of concern to the Member Countries with a view to enhancing new mechanisms and initiatives to draw policy guidelines and encourage cooperation.
