Study Visit on ‘Education Statistics’ to Indonesia

In accordance with its 2017 Annual Work Plan and within the framework of Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised the Study Visit on ‘Education Statistics’ to Indonesia for the benefit of the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) on 13-14 February 2018. The study visit was hosted by the BPS-Statistics Indonesia.

As defined in the Classification of Statistical Activities (CSA Rev. 1 - October 2009; http://goo.gl/olg3Tz); education statistics includes educational participation, illiteracy, educational institutions and systems, human and financial resources invested in education, lifelong learning, vocational training and adult learning, impact of education, assessments of student performance, etc.

The Study Visit on ‘Education Statistics’ included discussion activities with a focus on the following topics:

  • Overview of Social Economic Household Survey on BPS
  • Methodology
  • Questionnaire Susenas (Kor + MSBP)
  • Indicator of Education form Natinoal Socio Economic Survey (Susenas)  (input, process, output)
  • Processing and dissemination of the data
