The 34^th Meeting of the Follow-up Committee of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) was held on 09-10 May 2018 in Ankara, Turkey, with the participation of the OIC Member States and relevant OIC institutions.

The Committee reviewed and discussed the progress achieved in the implementation of the resolutions and decisions of the 33^rd Session of the COMCEC, which was held in November 2017 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The discussion included a set of common issues of concern to the member states with a view to enhancing economic and commercial cooperation among them.

COMCEC, whose Permanent Chairman is held by the Republic of Turkey, is a Ministerial-level platform established in 1981 at the Third Islamic Summit Conference, and meets annually to discuss common economic issues and global economic developments concerning OIC Countries and consider new mechanisms to promote economic and commercial cooperation among the Member States.

The Follow-up meetings are held annually in Turkey to review the progress achieved in the implementation of the COMCEC decision.
