The Steering Committee Meeting of the BINA Program was held on 21 May 2019 at SERIC Headquarters in Ankara, Turkey to discuss the progress and various aspect regarding the implementation of the project.

The Meeting was attended by high-level representatives of partnering institutions, including SESRIC, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and Libyan Program for Reintegration and Development (LPRD).

A technical and financial progress report prepared about the projects implemented within the framework of BINA Program, including some major achievements and outputs, was presented during the meeting. The Steering Committee approved the report and expressed its satisfaction with the implemented activities so far. Despite several challenges on the ground due to the social and political conditions in Libya, the project has made significant progress. Moreover, considering the updated Implementation Plan for the period 2019-2021, the Committee agreed on renewing the program agreement according to the timeline and budget proposed by the Technical Committee.

The BINA Program is an initiative carried out in partnership between SESRIC, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Libyan Program for Reintegration and Development (LPRD) to support Libya as conflict affected state in areas of research, capacity building and economic development.
