SESRIC will organise the “OIC City of Tourism Award 2019 for Dhaka” on 15 October 2019 in Dhaka, Bangladesh to acknowledge the contribution that tour operators have made in promoting and developing Islamic tourism in the city of Dhaka.

SESRIC will hold the Award Ceremony as part of activities organised by various OIC institutions throughout the year to commemorate Dhaka as OIC City of Tourism 2019.

Within this scope, SESRIC has prepared a survey to select and identify the best three tour operators that contribute to the development of tourism in the city of Dhaka. All tour operators registered in Bangladesh can submit their application for the Award by filling out the survey available at the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/oiccityoftourismdhaka

Following the final submission date by 10 September 2019, SESRIC, in consultation with the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism of Bangladesh, will assess the result of the survey and announce the three winners with the highest score.

After the final assessment made by the Selection Committee, the following three tour operators have been selected for the “OIC City of Tourism Award 2019 for Dhaka”:

• 1^st Place: Tourism Window
• 2^nd Place: ANNEX Travel & Consulting Group
• 3^rd Place: Journey Plus

The 10^th Islamic Conference of Tourism Ministers (ICTM) held on 5-7 February 2018 in Dhaka, Bangladesh chose Dhaka as the ‘City of Tourism’ for 2019. The conference also adopted the Dhaka Declaration to preserve and promote the Islamic culture and heritage of Bangladesh.
