SESRIC and IOFS signed MoU to strengthen cooperation and partnership

SESRIC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Islamic Organisation For Food Security (IOFS) to strengthen the collaboration and partnership in areas of food security, agriculture, and rural development.

The MoU provides a framework of cooperation that aims to facilitate collaboration between the two institutions in achieving common goals and interests.

The MoU was signed by H.E. Mr. Nebil Dabur, Director General of SESRIC, and H.E. Mr. Yerlan A. BAIDAULET, Director General of IOFS, on the sidelines of the 35th Session of the COMCEC in Istanbul, Turkey.

IOFS is a newly established specialized institution of the OIC on food security which started its activities at its Headquarters in Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan in March 2018.

In line with the MoU, the two institutions will work together to conduct joint research on common issues, organise seminars, symposiums and workshops, and exchange of information on food security for benefit of OIC Member States.
