The Director General of SESRIC, H.E. Mr. Nebil DABUR delivered a lecture on “South-South Cooperation for Socio-Economic Development of the South: The Experience of SESRIC” within the framework of the lecture series of the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS).

In his presentation, the Director General started with a brief on the Concept, History, Features, Principles, and Modalities of the South-South Cooperation initiative. Then, he talked about SESRIC and its various approaches and programmes for implementing the three mandates of the Centre; i.e. statistics, research and training. In this connection, he first, highlighted the main features of the OIC Member Countries. The Director General continued his presentation by providing a detailed presentation on the SESRIC experience and role in enhancing and contributing to the South-South Cooperation efforts among the OIC Member Countries.
