Online Training Course on ‘Use of New Technologies in Statistical Surveys: New Collection Approach and Collaborative Management Technology’

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised an Online Training Course on ‘Use of New Technologies in Statistical Surveys: New Collection Approach and Collaborative Management Technology’ with the participation of 27 attendees from the National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of 8 OIC countries on 29-30 November 2021.

Ms. Nada El Idrissi and Mr. Abdelkader Choqiri, experts at the High Commission for Planning (HCP) of Morocco, conducted the course and covered the following topics:

  • Survey design and tools
  • Survey frame and sample selection
  • Planning and organisation in CAPI and CAWI methods
  • Piloting the survey in CAPI and CAWI methods

The course was conducted through a video conferencing platform by following synchronous learning and instruction approaches designed in line with the virtual training solutions undertaken by SESRIC in order to better serve the Centre’s training activities and keep participants motivated and engaged during this time of global crisis due to COVID-19.
