On July 10, 2023, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, cordially visited the Headquarters of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Istanbul, Türkiye, to extend a gesture of courtesy to H.E. Amb. Kubanychbek OMURALIEV, the esteemed Secretary General of the Organisation. The SESRIC delegation was warmly received by Amb. Omuraliev and his team. H.E. SELÇUK expressed sincere gratitude for their gracious hospitality.

OTS previously known as the Turkic Council, stands as an esteemed intergovernmental organization comprised of distinguished independent Turkic countries, which are also prominent members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The OTS was founded on October 3, 2009, in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan.

The visit provided a remarkable opportunity for H.E. SELÇUK to showcase the activities and future plans of SESRIC in various domains, aimed at fostering socio-economic development within the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which also include 6 Member States of the OTS namely Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. With a steadfast determination to empowering nations, SESRIC has spearheaded numerous activities, fostering growth and resilience across the OIC.

H.E. SELÇUK concluded the visit by expressing working closely with the OTS in addressing shared challenges and contributing to the socio-economic progress of the Member States, in alignment with the objectives of the OIC and the focused mandate of SESRIC.
