H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Faed MUSTAFA, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Türkiye, on July 4, 2023. The visit aimed to discuss ways to reinforce dialogue among member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), with a particular focus on the role of the OIC in supporting Palestine and addressing the ongoing challenges faced by the Palestinian people.

During the visit, H.E. SELÇUK provided an overview of the Centre's efforts and highlighted the significant achievements made in fulfilling its mandate. H.E. MUSTAFA appreciated the SESRIC's ongoing support in statistics, research, training and technical cooperation and praised the active role of the Organisation in advocating for the rights of the Palestinian people.

The discussions centered on exploring ways to work closely together mainly in areas related the mandates of the Centre to provide effective assistance to the public institutions in Palestine. Both representatives touched upon the importance of leveraging the OIC's diplomatic influence and resources to advocate for the rights of the Palestinian people on the international stage.

As the visit drew to a close, H.E. SELÇUK reiterated SESRIC's willingness to intensify its efforts within the OIC framework to mobilize resources, raise awareness, and advocate for concrete actions to ensure justice, human rights, and lasting peace in Palestine.
