As part of her continuous endeavors to strengthen ties with the OIC Member States missions to Türkiye, the host country of SESRIC, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a visit to H.E. Yerkebulan SAPIYEV, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Türkiye, on 31 July 2023. The meeting was a good opportunity to raise various issues pertinent to the work of SESRIC and its efforts in addressing the common challenges and leveraging the current strengths in the OIC region, including Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the two sides referred to the existing strong relations between SESRIC and a number of national institutions in Kazakhstan. H. E. SELÇUK highlighted the activities that SESRIC has been undertaking in the areas of its mandate, particularly the ones that concern Kazakhstan. She commended the performance of Kazakhstan at the level of several social and economic indicators, as stated in different reports and studies prepared by SESRIC.

Moreover, she expressed the readiness of SESRIC to explore various areas of collaboration for the benefit of both sides, in such a manner that would contribute to the development and well-being of the OIC community at large. She also stressed SESRIC’s interest in partnering with the national institutions in Kazakhstan.

The visit concluded with both parties readiness to enhance their joint efforts towards more tangible results, with the ultimate objective of improving the prosperity and the well-being of people in Kazakhstan, in particular, and the OIC region in general.
