In line with the relevant recommendations of the 39^th COMCEC Follow-up Committee, hosted by the Republic of Türkiye on 23-24 May 2023 in Ankara, SESRIC organized a Technical Meeting with the Competition Agencies of the OIC Countries on 27 November 2023 through an online video conferencing platform.

The meeting brought together 19 representatives from competition authorities and relevant national institutions in 16 OIC Member Countries. The discussions were geared towards ways and means of enhancing cooperation and collaboration among competition authorities within the OIC region in a systematic manner.

The main aim of this technical meeting was to deliberate on establishing an intra-OIC network among the Competition Authorities and relevant national institutions in the OIC Member Countries. This network intends to facilitate the transfer and exchange of knowledge and experiences in the domain of competition law and policy. The meeting was instrumental in laying the groundwork for this vital initiative towards ensuring cohesive efforts and strategies among member countries.
