H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Dr. Said ALSAQRI, Minister of Economy of the Sultanate of Oman, on the sidelines of the 39^th Ministerial Session of the COMCEC, on 4 December 2023, in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye.

The meeting highlighted ways and means of enhancing cooperation between SESRIC and Omani national institutions across various social and economic sectors. Both parties expressed their willingness to explore new avenues of collaboration that focus on sharing good practices and success stories in Oman with other OIC countries.

H.E. SELÇUK explained that SESRIC implements various activities under its 21 sector-specific capacity-building programs to benefit OIC countries. She added that Oman is included in all the proceedings and technical reports on social and economic domains prepared by SESRIC. Moreover, the national institutions of Oman have benefited from a total of 82 activities related to capacity-building and technical cooperation since the establishment of these programmes.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen collaboration between the Ministry of Economy of the Sultanate of Oman and SESRIC to address key developmental challenges and contribute to the socio-economic development of the Sultanate of Oman and the wider OIC community.
