H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Ben Rejeb Ep Guezzah KHALTHOUM, Minister of Trade and Export Development of the Republic of Tunisia, on the sidelines of the 39^th Ministerial Session of the COMCEC, on 4 December 2023, in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye.

Acknowledging the significance of technical cooperation and capacity development, H.E. SELÇUK emphasized the criticality of collaborative efforts between the national institutions of Tunisia and SESRIC. Participating actively in numerous SESRIC capacity-building programs, Tunisia has, among other things, benefited from workshops and training courses in public employment, central banking, and social protection. The national institutions of Tunisia have benefited from a total of 129 activities related to capacity-building and technical cooperation since the establishment of these programmes.

In addition, H.E. SELÇUK stressed that several Tunisian national institutions actively contributed to the training activities by providing experts from their esteemed institutions, among them the Tunisian Occupational Health and Safety Institute (TOSHI), the National Agency for Employment and Independent Work (ANETI) of Tunisia, and the Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation (ATCT).

A variety of topics were deliberated upon throughout the meeting with the objective of enhancing relations between SESRIC and the Ministry in accordance with the pertinent cooperation agenda of the OIC.
