H.E. Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk welcomed Ambassador Adoum Dangai Nokour GUET from the Embassy of Chad in Ankara. The courtesy visit aimed at strengthening the ties between SESRIC and Chad, fostering collaboration, and exploring potential areas of cooperation.

Chad, being an OIC member country, is integral to SESRIC's initiatives and technical reports on social and economic matters. It is the top OIC country in the share of agriculture in value added (46% in 2021) and among the lowest unemployment rate (1.4% in 2022).

H.E. SELÇUK underscored that SESRIC encourages collaboration with national institutions in Chad and has a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the National Institute of Statistics, Economic and Demographic Studies of Chad. She underlined that the Centre is open to further collaboration and invites Chadian institutions to actively participate in SESRIC's capacity-building activities.

H.E. Ambassador GUET appreciated the warm welcome of SESRIC and reaffirmed the commitment to strengthen ties between Chad and SESRIC, fostering mutual understanding, and advancing cooperation for the benefit of both parties and OIC countries.
