SESRIC held a virtual coordination meeting with the Ministry of National Economy (MNE) of the State of Palestine on 19 December 2023, following the bilateral meeting between H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK and H.E. Khaled OSAILY, Minister of National Economy of the State of Palestine, on the sidelines of the 39^th Ministerial Session of the COMCEC, on 4 December 2023, in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye.

SESRIC representatives briefed the meeting on the Centre’s mandates, highlighting the capacity building activities and initiatives conducted for the benefit of national institutions in the State of Palestine. In addition, the discussions emphasized the planned undertakings towards addressing the existing challenges that hinder the socio-economic development in the State of Palestine. This encompasses efforts to strengthen institutional frameworks and enhance human capital, by ensuring a holistic approach towards sustainable growth and resilience in the State of Palestine.

Representatives of MNE expressed their readiness to enhance cooperation with SESRIC, underscoring their priorities under the current circumstances. Both teams agreed to intensify their efforts to evaluate the possibilities for designing and executing projects and activities that mainly focus on long-term recovery and reconstruction, among others.

At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to strengthen collaboration and engage in capacity-building activities in mutual areas of interest.
