H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK Meets with H.E. Amb. Achmad Rizal PURNAMA

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK engaged in a bilateral meeting with H.E. Ambassador Achmad Rizal PURNAMA of Indonesia in Ankara. The visit aimed to fortify collaboration, placing a particular emphasis on SESRIC’s ongoing commitment to advancing capacity-building programs within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries.

Since the inception of SESRIC's diverse capacity-building programs and projects, the Centre has successfully facilitated numerous activities aimed at enhancing the skills and capacities of public institutions in Indonesia. These initiatives, implemented through 21 different capacity development programmes, span from central banking, with a focus on Islamic finance, to statistics, agriculture, and tourism.

H.E. SELÇUK highlighted that public institutions in Indonesia have been pivotal contributors, assigning experts to contribute to the various capacity-building activities. A noteworthy accomplishment includes the organization of 58 activities since the initiation of SESRIC’s capacity development programmes, leveraging the technical support and expertise of Indonesian national authorities. In this context, SESRIC actively collaborates with Indonesian national institutions which have been active participants in key events.

Thanking H.E. SELÇUK for her kind visit, H.E. Ambassador PURNAMA underlined that SESRIC's collaboration and communication with BPS-Statistics Indonesia have proven to be highly productive and seamless. Additionally, the Embassy values SESRIC’s partnership with Bank Indonesia (BI), particularly in the implementation of COMCEC funded projects.

The meeting concluded with both parties expressing their commitment to advancing collaborative initiatives and capacity-building programs for the benefit of Indonesia and the broader OIC community to which the Centre remains dedicated to fostering fruitful partnerships and contributing to the socio-economic development of OIC countries.
