H.E. Amb. Victor TCHATCHOUWO, Ambassador of Cameroon in Ankara, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at SESRIC Headquarters. During the meeting, H.E. SELÇUK and H.E. Amb. TCHATCHOUWO exchanged ideas on the facilitation of knowledge exchange across various social and economic sectors, aiming to benefit national institutions in Cameroon by strengthening their skills and capacities.

Thanking the Ambassador of Cameroon for his courtesy visit, H.E. SELÇUK expressed her appreciation for the good cooperation between SESRIC and the national institutions in Cameroon. She underlined that SESRIC places great emphasis on training, technical cooperation and vocational education programmes that can help increase the technical capacity across the OIC Countries. H.E. SELÇUK added that the Centre organises capacity building activities under its 21 sector-specific capacity-building programmes. The national institutions of Cameroon have benefited from 134 activities so far since the initiation of these programmes by SESRIC.

On his part, H.E. Amb. TCHATCHOUWO expressed Cameroon’s readiness to further enhance the collaboration with SESRIC and share Cameroon's experience in various domains. Accordingly, he stated that Chairmanship of Cameroon in the 12th Session of OIC Statistical Commission is a strong indication of his country to share their expertise in the field of statistics with the other OIC Member Countries.

The visit concluded with both parties affirming their willingness to strengthen collaboration. They also underscored the significance of experience sharing and cooperation for socio-economic development within the wider OIC community.
