SESRIC hosted a delegation of 11 young diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, accompanied by representatives from the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, at its headquarters in Ankara.

At the outset, Dr. Atilla KARAMAN, Director of Training and Technical Cooperation at SESRIC, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. The tour-de-table round was followed by a comprehensive presentation in Arabic on the history, organisational structure, and mission of the OIC. The presentation provided key insights into the OIC system and its role in promoting cooperation among the member countries.

Furthermore, the delegation found the opportunity to learn about the core activities of SESRIC, namely, statistics, research, and technical cooperation and training. These initiatives were covered regarding their contributions to the development of OIC countries.

The visit provided an opportunity for exchanging ideas and underscored the importance of strengthening relationships with the Algerian national institutions.

At the conclusion of the visit, the young diplomats expressed their gratitude to SESRIC for the hospitality and the valuable opportunity to learn more about both the OIC and SESRIC’s essential role in promoting cooperation and development across the OIC region.
