SESRIC conducted a courtesy visit to the Vocational Qualifications Authority of Türkiye (MYK), where a productive meeting was held with President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Necmi İLHAN and Vice President Dr. Mehmet Erdem GÜNEY to identify potential areas for institutional collaboration, particularly in the areas of vocational education, skills development, and mutual-capacity building initiatives.

During the meeting, SESRIC provided a brief overview of its mandate and activities. The delegation underscored the significance of the upcoming Meeting of the Monitoring and Advisory Committee (MAC) of the OIC-VET Programme, where the OIC-TVET Strategic Roadmap 2026-2030 will be discussed and finalised. In this context, SESRIC extended an invitation to MYK to participate in and contribute to this important event.

The parties also exchanged views on the potential cooperation activities with regards to the methodological approaches for the classification of vocational standards, specifically tailored to the needs of OIC Countries.

The meeting ended with both institutions indicating their readiness to increase their interactions towards exploring further avenues of collaboration.
