Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Training Course on "Environment Statistics" with the attendance of 24 participants from the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 15–17 July 2025 in Riyadh.

Ms. Fariza Kambut, Deputy Director of the Agricultural and Environment Statistics Division at Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) conducted the training course. The training course included discussion sessions and covered the following topics:

• SEEA – System of Environmental-Economic Accounting
• FDES – Framework for the Development of Environment Statistics
• Country practices from Malaysia
