Training Session on ‘Content Management and Use of the OIC Health Portal’
Date: 12 August 2025
Venue: Virtual-SESRIC, Ankara - Türkiye

Within the framework of the resolution No. 1/7-ICHM/4 of the 7th Session of the Islamic Conference of Health Ministers, as well as the relevant resolution of Science and Technology and Innovation, adopted at the 51st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers, held in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye, on 21-22 June 2025, SESRIC and the General Secretariat of the OIC will jointly organise the periodic Training Session on “Content Management and Use of the OIC Health Portal” on 12 August 2025 through an online video conferencing platform.

The training session will be attended by the nominated focal points who will be responsible for the content management of the OIC Health Portal from Health Ministries of the OIC countries and relevant OIC institutions. The session aims to inform participants on the rationale and structure of the OIC Health Portal and its relevance to the OIC Strategic Health Programme of Action.

The Portal serves as the main information-sharing platform for the OIC activities in the health domain among Ministries of Health of the Member States and other partners. It provides all relevant data, and services as a repository for all reports and publications regarding health. To achieve the desired goals and objectives and to maintain a high standard during the entire duration of the Portal’s lifecycle, the content management is based on federated ownership. The ownership and maintenance of the content is, therefore, distributed among the stakeholders including Ministries of Health, relevant OIC institutions, international partners, and NGOs working in the health domain.
