Within the framework of the SESRIC Project on “Developing an Effective Roadmap for Facilitating Digital Transition in National VET Systems in OIC Member Countries,” which is funded under the 12^th Call for Project Proposals of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) Project Funding, SESRIC successfully organised Workshop on “Developing Roadmap for Vocational Education and Training Systems Across OIC Member Countries” on 24-25 September 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The workshop targeted 21 senior-level experts and policymakers from TVET authorities, relevant ministries, and national institutions responsible for digitalisation and education policy development across 11 OIC countries.

The workshop focused on the digital transformation of Vocational Education and Training (VET) systems across OIC member countries. Its primary aim was to discuss and refine the draft roadmap developed during the online Working Group Meeting on “Facilitating Digital Transition of National VET Systems in OIC Countries.” This strategic document will provide OIC countries with crucial guidance to integrate digital technologies, thereby improving the quality, accessibility, and relevance of their VET programme.

The workshop covered the following topics as well as hosted breakout and round-table discussion sessions:

• Experience of Azerbaijan: The Digitalisation Process in TVET
• Enhancing Policy Frameworks towards a Policy Environment Supporting Digital TVET
• Strengthening Infrastructure and Access
• Developing the Digital Skills of Trainers, Learners, and Managers
• Modernising VET Programmes and Content
