SESRIC and IsDB Met to Explore Development Frameworks and Collaboration Opportunities

SESRIC held a meeting with a delegation from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Regional Hub in Türkiye, together with field representatives in Iran and Pakistan, at its headquarters in Ankara on 8 August 2025.

The delegation received detailed information about SESRIC’s main activities in support of the development of OIC countries under its three mandated areas: statistics, research, and training and technical cooperation. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the Centre’s approach to data collection and dissemination, socio-economic analysis, and capacity-building efforts.

The discussion also focused on potential areas of collaboration between SESRIC and IsDB, particularly in the context of supporting socio-economic development across member countries.

The meeting concluded with a constructive exchange of views and reaffirmed the mutual interest in strengthening cooperation between SESRIC and IsDB. Both parties expressed their readiness to explore joint initiatives to support the development of OIC countries.
