On the sidelines of the 14^th Session of the OIC Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom), SESRIC and the Department of Statistics Malaysia (StatsMalaysia) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara.

The MoU aims to enhance cooperation in statistical capacity development through joint training programmes, workshops and technical exchanges under the StatCaB framework; the sharing of good practices and expertise in official statistics; and the development of collaborative action plans to strengthen National Statistical Systems of OIC Member States.

Through this partnership, SESRIC and StatsMalaysia reaffirmed their shared commitment to improving the quality, comparability and accessibility of statistics to support evidence-based policymaking and the achievement of national, OIC and global development goals.
