SESRIC and the Women and Democracy Foundation (KADEM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara to concretise their cooperation efforts.

Through this MoU, SESRIC and KADEM intend to strengthen their cooperation in implementation of projects, capacity-building programmes, knowledge sharing, and technical expertise in women's empowerment across the OIC countries.

Founded on 8 March 2013, KADEM is a non-governmental organization that operates with the aim of building a safe society where women can live with dignity and a just future. It adopts the principle of "equality in existence, justice in responsibility" as its foundational value. KADEM's corporate identity is built on a triple value system of "Trust, Dignity, and Justice", which serves as a compass guiding its work across all fields. In line with these values, KADEM works to develop practical and lasting solutions on issues concerning women's rights and the family, aiming to establish a justice-centred discourse. It seeks to strengthen women's representation in all areas of social life. KADEM's main areas of focus include contributing to academic literature with its own unique discourse, advocacy for rights, civil activism, combating all forms of violence, and promoting equal opportunities for women.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment by both institutions to advance women's empowerment in OIC countries through joint projects, capacity-building programmes, knowledge sharing, and policy dialogue, ultimately contributing to more inclusive and resilient societies.
