Training Course on ‘Digital Identity and e-Government Services in OIC Countries’

Within the framework of SESRIC Digital Transformation Capacity Building Programme (Digi-CaB), and in collaboration with Turkish Satellite Corporation (TÜRKSAT), the Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS) and the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, SESRIC organised a virtual Training Course on “Digital Identity and e-Government Services in OIC Countries” on 8-9 April 2026.

The training course aimed to facilitate exchange of knowledge and good practices in establishing a digital ecosystem for governmental services as well as to provide insights on matters related to privacy, security, and ethics. The training course was intended to explore the transformative and digitalisation processes of national identification and government services system for better inclusion and accessibility. A total of 110 experts and representatives from the relevant ministries and national institutions in 38 OIC countries benefited from the course.

The following topics were discussed during the training:

  • Designing and Establishing Citizen-Centric e-Government Services;
  • How e-Government Login Methods Work and Which Security Measures are Used;
  • End-to-End e-Government Service Process;
  • Integrated Cybersecurity Lifecycle Management for e-Government Platform;
  • Development of Digital ID (IKD) Indonesia in Supporting Public Services; and
  • Utilisation of Data Exchange for e-Government Implementation in Indonesia.

SESRIC launched the Digital Transformation Capacity Building Programme (Digi-CaB) in 2024 with the aim of supporting and contributing to the efforts of the OIC Member Countries towards navigating the domain of digital transformation and addressing the unique challenges and opportunities presented by digitalisation.
