SESRIC and the National Statistics Committee (NSC) of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on 4 March 2026 in New York, on the margins of the Follow-up Meeting of the OIC-StatCom during the 57^th Session of the United Nations Statistical Commission.

The agreement reinforces cooperation in statistical capacity development with a particular focus on strengthening health statistics by integrating Tobacco Questions for Surveys (TQS) into ongoing national surveys to support evidence-based policies towards a tobacco-free OIC.
