On the margins of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held discussions with H.E. Najat Maalla M’JID, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General on Violence against Children.

The discussions covered preventing violence against children, including the protection of children in the digital environment. The exchange highlighted the importance of data, research, and effective monitoring frameworks in supporting preventive approaches and strengthening child protection systems across OIC countries.

Adopted by the OIC, the Covenant on the Rights of the Child in Islam aims to protect children’s rights.

SESRIC had organized a Workshop on “Cyber Addiction: Best Practices to Protect Children from Violence via the Internet in OIC Member States on 14-15 October 2025.
