On the sidelines of the 13^th Session of the United Nations World Urban Forum in Baku, Azerbaijan, a SESRIC delegation visited Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

H.E. SELÇUK highlighted the wide range of SESRIC initiatives and programmes supporting OIC countries, including the OICStat Database, OIC Economic Outlook prepared by SESRIC, as well as SESRIC’s Capacity Building Programmes dedicated to OIC central banks and financial institutions.

The discussions also focused on strengthening South-South cooperation in the fields of Islamic Banking and Finance, while highlighting the growing importance of the Azerbaijan Halal Business (AZHAB) Forum, endorsed by the OIC during the 51^st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers held in 2025.
